This design is so pretty and yet so quick to stitch as much of the appeal is in the hanging decorations. The instructions are very easy to follow and, having a finished picture to refer to, makes it very easy to stitch.
This card was made for a friend who wanted it stitched in blue. I do not have rice beads in blue so I used bugle beads and, as they are not as long as the rice beads, this meant that I had to add a seed bead occasionally to fill the pricked gap. As you can see this has not diminished the appeal of the card.
I stitched the card using a variegated blue DMC thread and finished the stitched section by using an ink pad to colour the edges. I then stuck my completed stitching to my base card using double sided tape.
