My embroidery yarn of choice is DMC and they make a variegated yarn in Christmas colours. I couldn't resist making the Christmas star in Christmas colours.

I reduced Emy's design slightly so that it fitted my chosen base card. I used 1 strand of thread with red beads and gold spacers. The design looks gorgeous but is not hard to make or overly time consuming.

Once finished I flat stuck it to red mirror card and then flat stuck it to my green base card. A wonderful card to give to a special friend for Christmas.

Try it with differently coloured threads and beads for different occasions.
