To add a little interest to the background I had embossed my card using a swirl folder. I had applied 'Orchid' ink to the inside of the folder so that it showed in the debossed areas and then wiped a 'Violet' ink pad over the raised areas.

I then pricked my pattern and stitched it using DMC threads. So that the little hearts didn't disappear in the background I coloured them with pencil.
