I have used this delightful teabag design with a sailing ship in the mist as a Bon Voyage greeting Card for some dear friends who are off on the holiday of a lifetime.
I have used a simple triangle style fold for the teabags and secured the medallion down onto the main image with the blank star shape using a bright pink star shaped split pin so that the medallion spins freely.
I have prepared a free tutorial for this teabag fold and this will be available on this site tomorrow. I have made a deep orange coloured main card cut at 28 x 19 cm and scored and folded it before attaching the 18.5 x 13.5 cm white backing sheet.
I coloured a pink peel off strip with a brighter pink alcohol pen and attached the strips, added 2 gems, which I also coloured with the pen, and the 2 wine glasses with some tiny gems as sparkles as embellishments to the card front.
I have used a metallic hot dark pink backing sheet to the sentiment I have printed.
To complete the insert, I have used the print I have made and printed, to use as a backing for the teabag tiles, to edge with the pink pen and attached a blank star from the main image and attached the sentiment to the front of it.
I have left the lower half blank to write my special greeting. This was a very easy and quick medallion to make with the teabag tiles supplied with the sheet, and there are plenty of sentiments to use and keep for future use.
I enjoyed the time I have spent making this deign into a most useful greeting card. It will be in the post this evening. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus. It is now June 2023 and looking through my male orientated designs I have previously purchased and uploaded.
I have made the finished teabag using a different fold and used the elements I have chosen to present as a concertina fold.
I have folded the backing of the teabag and placed a thick D.S. padded square behind the backing to raise the front topper giving it more dimension.
Thank you for this design, I know i will use it many more times. Pamela
