PINK CONEFLOWERS: 8x8 Birthday Floral Quick Card With Extra Decoupage and Commercial Use
These pretty pink coneflowers and the inspiring message "Allow Yourself to Feel Amazing..." is great for birthdays. But the five sentiment tags included mean that it can be sent on many occasions. There are also extra flowers on the sheet (which, when added, give a real effect of dimensionality to the petals). With or without decoupage, there's also plenty of room for you to add your own glitz, glitter and special touches to this design.
(To avoid duplication, please note that this sheet is now also available on CUP as one of the 15 sheets in my "Floral Bumper Kit 1"
(cup848110_79993).
Finally, this card topper comes with small-scale commercial use, meaning that you can sell any cards you hand make with this sheet, on CUP or anywhere else.

This is a beautiful pen and water colour original from Clare Walker. I used the sheet 3 times to copy onto light weight, white card. The first 2 were printed at the smaller size, making the central art work,7.5cm square. The larger one was one step larger.
I used the 2 smaller sized copies to make the card front.
Working with copy one only, I carefully cut off the intricate edging frame area, keeping the pink inside area intact with it. I set this aside. With the remaining central art work, I cut off, to remove, the white trim edging. I then backed this central art work onto a heavier weight white card, 8cm square, with double sided tape, and set aside. Now I used sheet 2 and cut out the topper section, complete with the frame, only, and mounted this art work onto a white backing sheet exactly the same size, 10cm square. I then made the backing sheets and attached 3 rows of white satin ribbon, each 1cm wide and 25cm in length. The first backing sheet, 10.5cm square, is the smallest and bright apple green. The lower ribbon is fully attached 1cm up from the lower edge onto the front of the green, and each one 1cm above the other. I left them loose, while I added the pale pink textured backing sheet,11.5cm, and then attached them both onto the largest darker pink card,12.5cm square. I wrapped the three ribbons around to the back and held them in place with magic tape. I then attached this finished work from sheet 2 onto a white card 13cm square.
From the first sheet, and using the step by step method to add the extra dimensional cone flowers, and,as they are quite small, delicate pieces, I cut around them roughly and added double sided tape to the back only. I did not peel off the protective sheet from the double sided tape, until, I had completely cut out the intricate petals. I then peeled off the backing and carefully placed each flower onto the topper from sheet 1. I then attached this to the top of the work from sheet 2. with double sided tape. With the frame I had set aside, I used a glue tape to attach it to a 280gsm white card, to make it firm, and used a craft knife to cut away the central square piece, and made sure, I was left with the pink edged frame. I attached this with padded double sided tape to the topper.
I made a white card 26.5cm x 14 cm and edged it around with a pink alcohol pen, and used padded tape to attach the topper to this main card. I tied a single bow and used a glue tape to hold it in place. I had made sure the card had enough space to place the sentiment at the lower edge. Note the sentiment is from the larger print off.
I also used the larger elements from the third copy, I had made, to cut out the cone flower elements and add them to a white sheet 26cm x 13.5cm as an insert , and I also added, the intricate border around the frame of the topper, to make a similar frame around the insert page.
As I had never seen a cone flower, I had looked it up on google and I found the information regarding the Echinacea qualities, my gardening friend will enjoy the extra message.
Thank you Clare for this delightful adaptation of the cone flower, I really enjoyed making this card.
