8X8 Beautiful Baby Girl
8X8 Topper featuring a beautiful poem , for a new little baby girl with extra decoupage for you saved at 300 Dpi
Verse is
On the night you were born
the moon smiled with such wonder
that the stars peeked in to see you
and the night wind whispered
life will never be the same
because there had never been anyone
like you ever in the world
so enchanted with you
were the wind and the rain that they
whispered the sound of
your wonderful name
heaven blew every trumpet
and played every horn
on the wonderful marvellous
night you were born

This delightful baby girl welcome style greeting card became available just in time for us to be able to give it to our neighbours, who gave us advanced notice, that they were expecting their baby girl to arrive just before Christmas.
This topper comes complete with all the trimmings, including a beautiful verse on the front cover. I printed the sheet twice onto 120gsm white card as I wanted to use the main them as a decoupage effect on the front and use part of the second copy as embellishments for the insert.
The main white gloss card is an A4 sheet, cut at 29.52 x15.5 cm and scored, with the wrong side facing you, in from the right hand side at 15cm and folded.
This will make the card back longer when in the easel opening style. I have then used the congratulations ribbon across the bottom edge and wrapped it around the back using red power tape.
I then used a 12.5 cm square of the Pink Parasol paper, cup9140101_77133, to attach using D.S. tape to the outside back of the card to secure the ribbon.
I then made the topper using the Pink Parasol backing sheet, a design by Gillian Hutchinson, cut at 14.25cm high and 14.5cm wide.
To this backing sheet, I then attached the bright rose pink 13.5cm square backing sheet using D.S. tape and then the main image as the top and main backing sheet.
I attached the decorative ribbon across the front in line with the butterflies and secured it at the back of the largest backing sheet.
I then attached this finished topper onto the card front using D.S. tape.
I used the second copy to carefully remove the frame retaining all the main elements of the central theme including the feet belonging to the 2 little baby girls.
I attached this to the card front using padded D.S. tape. I cut out the small elements and attached these using small D.S. squares and thickened white glue on the edges of the wings and tops of the skirts.
I attached the bow and then to complete the insert, I have used larger prints of the Parasol background sheet cut to size.
For the top section, I have used a butterfly trailing some ribbon and a bow and for the lower section I have used the frame and begun to write my personal message.
I feel confident that I have achieved a most appealing result and my neighbours will treasure and keep this card to share with their baby girl as she grows.
Thank you to Gillian, for a beautiful design. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
