JADORE TOPPERS 2Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have made 2 stunningly beautiful greeting cards from this sheet provided by Stella Designs by printing the sheet 3 times onto 170gsm paper and using as many of the elements as I could fit onto the card fronts to complete the decoupage and still have the finished project slip easily into the envelopes I then made to fit each card.

The first finished card topper is attached to a white 28x18cm smooth surfaced 170gsm, matte photo paper which I scored and folded before adding any finished work.

I used a pale green oval backing sheet 2mm wider than the 15.25x10.75cm original image and attached the main image using D.S. tape.

I have attached the 1cm wide green ribbon across the front 9cm down from the top of the green backing sheet and securing the tails carefully at the back.

It helped to rule a faint pencil line to ensure this ribbon was equidistant on both sides.

I used another copy of this image to cut away the outer frame and use this image to attach it over the main image using D.S. tape and then attach this topper I was still working on, using D.S. tape, to the card front.

I then used the third image to cut out and reserve the vase and the main forward flowers as one whole image and the one extra left hand side flower to use as the main backing for the decoupage.

I attached these pieces using padded D.S. tape and used several of the other matching single flower images and some leaves to complete the decoupage.

I then added the gold peel off decorative corners and the 2 fine gold line strips, the green bow and the sentiment.

I printed the insert, cup1050437_21027, Happy Birthday Insert and Verse during Stay Safe Time with Daffodil Flower, which I have made to suit this pandemic time and this particular type of greeting card.

The second card features this gorgeous kitten and I have made the main card by printing the A4 white 170gsm smooth textured matte photo paper in pale green and reversing the sheet and printing, cup1050436_21027, Greeting card insert and verse space with daffodil Flower, at 28cm wide x19cm high and trimming the white borders for a finish of 26x17.5cm.

I then used one main image to attach the green ribbon 5cm down from the top edge of the image across the front and secured the tails carefully at the back before attaching this to the card front.

I attached a second main image to the card front using padded D.S. tape. I cut many of the smaller elements to use building up the decoupage using the step by step method ensuring the back flowers and leaves were attached first and in order of representation, using padded D.S. squares.

The kitten was also attached each time and I used D.S. tape strips and small squares to ensure the kitten and his tail were secure.

I added the silver peel off corners and decorative strips and the bow and the sentiment, and this card was completed as the insert was part of the main card.

I will use this very special design many times and for so many occasions, thank you Stella I love it.
