STARFISH: Combined Thank You Topper & Insert or Mini-Topper, With Easy Decoupage & Commercial Use
This bright and cheerful watercolour card topper in aqua and gold uses my original painting of a starfish, and is great for anyone needing thanks or who likes the sea. The topper is approximately 5.5 " square, the iblank insert/mini-topper approximately 4.5" square.
The sheet includes optional easy starfish decoupage.
By default, the front of the topper says "You're a Star!" but you can change this to say anything you like using the included tags (see below for wording).
The included insert means that the sheet contains all you need for a card, though it could also co-ordinate well with my Sea/Ocean Background (cup961420_79993) if you want a background too.
Finally, as with all my designs, this sheet comes with small-scale commercial use: you're fine to sell anything you can physically hand-make using this printed sheet, whether you sell on CUP or anywhere else. Hope you have lots of fun with this!

I have made 2 separate cards, using the sheet provided, by copying the sheet twice onto the one A4 sheet.
For the thank you card I have used a sea green and blue floral print on the outside of the card and a muted blue grey brushed effect tiny check on the inside of the card.
I have used this same check cut at 11cm square and attached this to the 10cm square dark orange backing sheet using D.S. tape.
I have then attached the glitter silver decorative peel of strip before attaching the coffee stained style 9cm doily using a glue tape roller to the back of the main image and using padded D.S. tape to attach this image to the backing sheets.
I have used 3 different shades of craft leaves, orange, apricot and cream, to glue onto the front over the star and added 3 blue tiny jewels to each ball shapes on the corners of the main image.
I have stitched the jewelled button onto 22cm of apricot ribbon, 5cm in from the left hand side, so that when I laid the ribbon across the front of the topper, the jewel rested so that it touched all 3 backing sheets, but did not overhang and then attached it to the card front and secured the tails at the back.
I completed the decoupage using padded tiny squares cut to fit. I have added the matching bow and the sentiment. To complete the insert I have attached the smaller Image and the blank sentiment and written my special message.
I have left the right hand side blank to write my special thank you. I have then used an orange permanent pen to define all the edges both inside and out.
To complete the birthday card I have used the same check backing sheet cut at 9.5cm square and attached it to the back of the main image and then attached a white 10cm backing sheet to the back of the check backing sheet.
I have printed the sea green and blue onto both sides of the main 26.5x13cm card and defined the edges of all the backing sheets and the main card using an aqua permanent pen.
I have attached a bronzed textured backing sheet to the topper.
I then attached the gold decorative peel off strip before attaching the aqua ribbon across the front of the completed topper.
I used D.S. power tape to attach the topper to the card front. I completed the decoupage and attached the gems, sentiment and the bow. I have used the smaller image for the insert, but as yet not added my special birthday greeting.
