This is a brother card, I suppose you could say, to the delightful girl baby card. Clare Walker has designed both of these original pen and ink with watercolour originals. I made my version of the card by copying the sheet onto Gloss white card, and cutting out all the elements. I backed the topper with a white light weight card, 1mm smaller than the topper, then added all the elements step by step.
I next made the actual card from good quality white card 27cm x 13.5cm.
The backing sheets I made from card I had in stock. The white card has blue daisies, and is cut 12.5cm square, the blue with white daisies is cut at 11.5cm square. I mounted these together with padded double sided tape. I then used a white narrow ribbon with blue hearts on it to wrap around the backing sheets and firmly attach to the larger backing sheet. These I then mounted onto the card with double sided padded tape. Once I had completed the card and backing sheets , it was easy to use the same padded double sided tape to attach the topper.
I added the same ribbon as a bow, at the top and centre on the card front.
What a lovely result to pass on to welcome a baby boy into a new home.
Thank you and many hugs for a beautiful design
