I have made this beautiful decoupage step by step method of completing this spray of poppy flowers, buds, fern fronds and a butterfly following the well labelled steps, provided by Rob Pohl and kept the oval frame to attach to the slightly larger white frame which I have smudge edged with a dark blue pen.
I have used the medium shade of pink to match with the poppies, to cut the 10x8cm backing sheet and edge with a darker shade of pink which matches the ribbon.
I attached the ribbon onto the back of the white backing sheet 3cm up from the very bottom edge of the sheet and then attached this pink backing sheet to the white oval backing sheet.
I have used a previous purchase Poppies Happy Birthday, cup868995_3656. To print onto both sides of satin finished white 170gsm photo paper and cut the card at 20 x 12cm then scored and folded it.
I have used padded D.S. tape to attach to the back of the topper and folded the ribbons under, attaching the folded section over the sticky ee=side of the tape, but not yet removing the tape covering, leaving the cut and v trimmed edge to meet at the main card sides, before peeling off the backing of the D.S. tape and attaching the topper firmly in position.
I have used a small image of the card front as part of the insert. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus
