Year of the Dragon Birthday/ New Year Topper 8
Beautiful large topper for birthday or New Year. I have designed it with my "Dragon" Chinese Character round topper design and my decorative swirly corner designs. This beautiful topper can be suitable for Birthday cards for people born in the year of Dragon or for New Year.
If you wish you can print one extra sheet and use it to decoupage the round topper on the card and give it a lovely 3D effect.
On the sheet I have included a smaller image of the round topper which you can use as a keepsake or a topper for smaller cards. 4 ready tags are also included on the sheet with the following texts on them: " Happy Birthday", "Dragon", "2012" and " Year Of The Dragon".
One more blank greetings label is also included where you can write your own greeting suitable for the occasion. This design is available in total of 8 color versions.

I have made 2 cards using this design by Anna and although this is the year of the tiger, both the recipients were born in the year of the dragon and so the design is a perfect choice.
The first card is black and cut at 29.5cmx15cm and has the front edges defined with a gold metallic pen.
The gold, gloss metallic 13.5cm square backing sheet and the main,12.25cm image, are both attached using D.S. red power tape.
I had printed the sheet supplied twice more onto the same quality white satin finished 170gsm paper as the main image used.
I used the main larger circular frame and the smaller circular frame to carefully remove from the main images, to retain these purple frames, to use, as part of the insert.
I attached the 2 circles as decoupage using padded D.S. tape. I have used gold dust glitter glue to high light the Chinese Zodiac symbol and around the main purple frame, close to the larger circle.
I have added the birthday sentiment.
I have used the 2 trimmed purple main images as surrounds for the information and original verse, I have written.
The second card was much quicker to make as I used the same measurements for the main green card. I used the gold metallic pen to also define the edges on the white 13.5cm backing sheet which I attached using D.S. tape.
I attached the satin finished gold backing sheet to the card front using D.S. tape and then the white edged main purple image with D.S. tape.
I used the other 2 copies of the main image supplied with the sheet provided. For this card to save bulk I have used only the smaller circle as decoupage, which I attached using padded D.S. tape.
I have added the 2 supplied sentiments and used the same gold glitter to enhance the outer edges of the larger circle and the zodiac sign.
I have used the same idea for the inserts for this card and was able to use the retained intact larger circle as part of the framing.
As always Anna it is always a pleasure to work with your designs, and ist so easily could be used as a quick no nonsense card, and still look the best card on display.
