Thank you to Deloris Thiede for this delightful design with which I have made a Robin Themed Christmas Greeting card ready for posting for the fast-approaching Festive Season.
I printed the sheet provided 3 times onto 170gsm white satin finished paper and this allowed me to enhance the topper with extra layers of decoupage and to use the frames for the insert section of the card.
I have used the cream 200gsm card cut at 28x14cm to attach to the folded front the main full image using red power tape.
I used a second image to remove the central framed section reserving the outer frame, to use as part of the insert and used this to mount onto 200gsm card then attached this to the card front.
I used the robin, bird house image elements to attach as the decoupage onto the card front using padded D.S. tape.
I then used Gold Dust Glitter effects to carefully fill in the edges of the gold frames and the bird house scallops.
I set this aside to dry over night before attaching the Aged parchment look insert. I have printed the verse inside the larger frame and used one of the images of the robin bird house to embellish the left side of the insert.
I have added the sentiment to the inside and the smaller sentiment and gold glitter ribbon bow to the card front as extra embellishments.
This design shows thought and careful planning and has made a beautiful and easily completed greeting card. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus
