PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE CHRISTMAS CARD TOPPER, 7x7 with Extra Decoupage & 3 sentiment tags
This 7x7 inch card front features a partridge amidst golden pears. It makes a stunning design by itself, or you can use the extra easy cut decoupage layers to build out the pears and the bird's wings if you wish. The sheet also includes three additional sentiment tags.
Finally, this card topper comes with small-scale commercial use, meaning that you can sell any cards you hand make with this sheet, on CUP or anywhere else.

Another beautifully designed ink and water colour by Clare Walker. I printed this out 3 times to make the card above in the photograph. 2 copies onto Crafty Bob's Gloss card and 1 onto matt white card. The main card is a mustard/yellow 25cmx12cm folded. The backing sheets are, from the largest, dark bluish/ grey card 11.75x11.5cm,green card 11.25cmx 11.5cm and using double sided tape matted to the card front.
I then worked on making the topper, using the matt card copy, I cut out the main topper and left the elements on the sheet. I used the Mod podge dimensional magic to coat the partridge, wing pieces and the pears and set this aside to dry.
Using the matt main topper as a backing sheet to guide all the placements, I used the 1st of the gloss copies and carefully with a craft knife and steel ruler to guide, cut away the yellow framed section out from the speckled backing sheet. I then used double sided tape and a light card 9.5 x 9.00 cm. as a backing for this. This left the speckled frame complete as well, which I also attached to a separate light card exactly the size of this speckled frame. I attached these together with double sided tape. I then used double sided tape to attach this to the matt topper. I used 2 x20cm lengths of 6mm white satin gold edged ribbon to wrap right around these and used padded double sided tape to attach this to card with the backing sheets already prepared.
From the 2nd gloss copy I cut out the white main section of the art work and attached it to a light card exactly the same size 9.00 x 8.00cm and used double sided tape to attach this to the top again. I then cut out the elements, that had been left to dry and used padded tiny squares to adhere them in place. I mounted the sentiment on a 1mm wider bluish /grey card to high light it.
When the card was completed, I used an extra piece about 40cm of the same ribbon to wrap around and over the top to the inside of the card as part of the insert I had made. Then threaded it through the 2 horizontal exposed ribbons on the left, tying a tiny bow.
I love the original look of the art work as it makes the effort of going the extra mile to make a really lovely card someone will get pleasure from at Christmas well worth while.
Thank you I hope you like what I have done with the design.
