Santa Bauble TopperCompleted by Heather Beechey

I requested a number of these Christmas baubles from designer Sharon Poore as I wanted to make them up as a personalised keepsake for my grandchildrens' Christmas trees.

I printed 2 to an A4 page on glossy photo paper as I didn't want them to be too large. I then cut out all the elements and glued the 2 main pieces of the bauble onto gold Mirri card to give added strength.

I borrowed the idea of using a paper clip as the hook at the top of the bauble from Sandie Burchell's cup239653_425 Hanging Baubles and slipped this in between the mirri card and the main design, using some d/s tape to ensure it stayed in place.

When dry, I added the decoupage pieces to decorate the main image and the frame using 2mm foam pads.

When complete, I slipped a length of gold cord through the end of the paper clip and tied the ends together so the bauble will hang on the tree.

A lovely personalised keepsake for children or special adults who love their christmas trees.
