Roses & Toadstools Vintage Doily Trio TopperCompleted by CARDS BY HILDA

This design I printed onto glossy photographic paper and cut out. I used a large A3 piece of cream pearlescent card and on the back of the card I drew around the large doily approximately a third of the way up.

I folded the card in half ( face to face) and cut around the drawn doily but leaving a half inch edge all around (keeping the card folded and cutting through the doubled card at the same time. Remembering to stop cutting either side when getting to the top two scallops, leaving the card folded. Also leaving the front two scallops uncut and cut a long 2" wide by 3" long piece leading from these two scallops to form the stand for the easel.

I then complete the back of the doily by finishing off cutting around the last two scallops at the back. I then unfolded the card and attached the large doily to the front of the card and decoupaged the remaining two doilies. The plain one I glued to the back of the card and added a pink bow to the fold at the top. I added a small strip to the tale as a stopper and folded it, so it stands as an easel card.
