This is such a pretty feminine design by Vicky Sumner and so reminiscent of having a cuppa with my Mum or my very best friend, sharing the chat and using the best china as a special treat and add in the meringues, and I am inviting myself.
I printed the sheet provided, and made 2 copies onto CB 180gsm white card. I cut out the main element from the first copy, and used this as my main backing sheet.
I used a blue ribbon with an embroidered mauve spot and 2 lengths of delicate cotton lace, to attach together, using D.S. tape, as if they were a complete ribbon and lace, now measuring 3cm wide and 20cm long.
I used D.S. tape to attach this across the front of the next blue and white print backing sheet, which measures, 11.5 x 8.5cm.
The top of the lace edge is 2 cm down from the top edge and is attached horizontally, with the 5.75 cm long 2 tails kept loose.
I then used D.S. tape to attach the main backing sheet, which is the main image, to the top of this blue backing sheet.
The next backing sheet is a rose pink and measures 12 x 9cm, and it is attached using the D.S. tape.
I made the main card using Clare Walker’s, cup814313_79993, Christmas lace effect, using P.S. to change the original colour to a pale pink, and printed it onto both sides of CB 180gsm white card.
I cut this new pink lace card at 20 x 13.5cm, and then scored and folded it. Before using the D.S. tape to attach the topper, I wrapped the ribbon and lace round to the left only, and secured it with D.S. tape.
I used D.S. tape to attach the topper, at the same time attaching the right hand tails of the ribbon to the inside of the card, and securing them with D.S. tape.
I then completed the insert before I finished the decoupage on the card front.
I made another 15cm length of the 3 piece lace and blue ribbon, and folded the 2 edges in to make the length now measure 13cm, and used D.S. tape to secure this to the very left hand edge of the left hand side of the insert.
I used the smaller main image from the first copy to attach on the left hand side and made a light weight card in blue 9.5 x 8.5cm and attached a lace top to this blue card before attaching it onto the right hand side, to be used for the verse, or special greeting.
I used the second copy from the sheet provided to cut out the main image, eliminating the outer pink lace and keeping the butterflies intact.
I attached this central image with padded D.S. tape.
I then used the same sized image to cut out the tea cup and saucer and the meringues. I attached these and a set of the extra butterflies using tiny squares of padded D.S. tape. I made a bow using both the lace and ribbon tied together and redrew the butterfly feelers with a very fine black pen.
I attached the bow using red power tape and then added 11 pale pink rhinestone style gems. I was then able to make 4 gift cards with all the small elements provided on the both sheets.
I hope, Vicky you like what I have achieved, as I am really thrilled with my bundle of feminine softness, all of which is so suitable for a simple catching up greeting to Mothers’ Day, Birthday, Easter, and even Sympathy.
Thank you for this delightful design. I am sending you a big hug. Pamela Horton
