2 Harbour Toppers Card - with Matching TagsCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have made 2 individual male birthday cards using this design by Kirsty Green, today. I have incorporated Textured papers VII Nautical colors, cup1118778_2048, a design by Sandra Auzina as the backing and background papers.

To complete the first card, I printed the main image twice onto good quality 170gsm photo paper and mounted it use using padded D.S. tape onto the 12 x 10 cm white backing paper.

I then attached this topper, using D.S tape, onto the 13.5 x 10.5cm, brown, sN02 version of cup1118778_2048. I have used the second copy of the image to cut away the main image, to use as the main backing sheet and save the smaller image for future use.

I attached the prepared topper using D.S tape. I prepared the main white card 16cm x 28cm card front, scored and folded it easel style and inserted the pale, sM05 version of cup1118778 into the inside of the card and to the card front, using a glue tape runner.

I then trimmed the width, of the card front only, to 15.25cm. then attached the topper using D.S tape to the card front.

I have used decorative gold and fine line royal blue peel off strips as embellishments and included a verse and the smaller image onto the insert page.

The second birthday greeting card is to celebrate a 70th birthday and I have used white card cut at, 27.5 x16cm, then scored and folded it easel style.

I have used cup1118778_2048, sN05 as the insert and the main backing sheet on the card front. Before completing the topper, I have used Royal Blue to define the edges of the card front.

I printed the sheet twice and used one copy, as the main image to embellish the edges with decorative gold peel off strips and using one gold ribbon and one blue and white nautical striped ribbon to attach, across the front of the main image, 2cm up from the lower horizontal edge to the card front.

I attached this image to the card front using D.S tape before using the second copy to cut away the outer frame and use the central image as the feature by mounting it using padded D.S tape.

I have used fine line gold peel off strips, a tiny simple bow, the 70 and happy birthday to complete the embellishments.

I have used a smaller partial image from another design, using the same nautical theme, by Kirsty, cup416473_1914 as part of the insert.
