You Rock Guitar birthday card 6 x 6 topper

A Great card for the male, the music lover, or the guitarist. My grandson is lead guitarist in 2 bands and is turning 20 this year. What a bit of luck for me with this card being available. I have made a spare as well, as I was thrilled with how it turned out. I printed out the sheet supplied onto Crafty Bob's 200gsm gloss card, and cut out all the elements. I attached an unusual thready black and white flat cord 19cm long to the back of the topper. I measured 0.5cm in from top and bottom of the left hand side to be sure to keep it straight, leaving the extra 5cm longer top and bottom, to hang loose.I used double sided tape to matt the topper to a blue card cut at 10.5 x 10.5 cm. I used a piano music book of my own to copy the sheet of music and cut it at 12cm x 12cm and used double sided tape to matt it to a white card 12 x 12cm to make it firm. I then used padded double sided tape to attach this to a different shade of blue card 13 x 13 cm. I wrapped the cord over the top and under the bottom edges and attached it at the back. I made a mustard card, 30cm x 13.5 cm,and edged it with a light brown permanent marker. I attached the topper close to the top, as I intend to add my Grandson's name and the figure 20 to that lower edge. I attached the elements last of all with tiny, tiny, double sided padded dots.

HINT: If you like your backing sheets with an extra special touch, Edge them as I have done with a black pen or a shade matching the card colour. Also when I am using padded tape of any sort, I attach the squares, dots or strips first then use the same shade as the card to colour the sides of each one, this makes them less visible when you look at the card itself.
