I copied to glossy photo paper and cut out the main picture. I matted this to a Terracotta backing paper and cut around the picture once more leaving a margin. Then I matted to a mustard colour backing paper which I had rounded the corners off. Placed all this onto terracotta again tried to make it look like a heart as near as I could. Then I matted to cream card stock. Through all these actions I used d.s.t.
I cut the other decoupage pieces into heart shapes building it up on the right hand side of the main picture. For this I used sticky pads.
I cut out four foil hearts and put one inside the other using sticky pads I stuck the bottom one nearlly all the way to the card, let the other piece curl and added the roses. At the bottom I adhered the heart all the way and used roses again. I made a bow from rose patterned silk ribbon and draped it across the card using d.s.t. Added a greeting to the ribbon. Cut two pieces the same ribbon only, thinner and slightly darker and put them across top and bottom corners.
This has made a truely romantic valentines card getting away from red roses ect.
