This is such a cute image, and Deloris has increased the cuteness by adding lace, polka dots and embellishments in varying shades of pink.
I have used the same pink hues and added my own card design and embellishments.
I made the main card by printing the background sheet onto both sides of an A4 200gsm sheet and then trimming it down to measure 29cm x 15cm.
Using a pencil, ruler and scoring tool, I marked and scored at the top and bottom edges at 5cm, with a valley fold, at 11.25cm, with a mountain fold and at 18cm with a valley fold.
I have photographed these folds in an aerial view and the front view and back view of the completed card.
I made 2 copies of the sheet supplied. Each image measures 8.25cm square.
I used the sentiment image to attach using D.S. tape to the last 11cm wide panel, 3.5cm up from the bottom edge, and 3.25cm down from the top edge, and on the right hand edge of the last panel.
Before I attached the main image to the second page, I attached a deep rose pink 8.5cm square backing sheet to the back.
I then cut away the frame from the sentiment image which is on the second copy of the sheet supplied and attached it to the back of the backing sheet.
I marked on the back, a line 2.5cm in from the outside with a pencil, then using tiny dots on the front of the panel for the placement of this image so that when the card was lying flat the ribbon image was lined up perfectly.
To complete the front image I cut away the white edged frame and 2 of the ribbon images. I then attached the 2 ribbon images 3cm up to both sides of the deep rose pink 7cm square backing sheet.
I attached the smaller image onto the front.
I then ruled a very faint line 3.25cm in from the outside edge to mark the over- hang distance and attached the D.S. tape in strips to the rest of the back of this image.
I marked, with tiny spots and with the card closed, the exact position the top of this topper should sit when the 3 horizontal ribbons are in line, before attaching the topper using D.S. tape.
The embellishments, I attached after the card was completed.
I have used D.S tape to attach 59cm of lace, 1.25cm down from the top edge. I then used 59cm of rose pink 1.5cm wide satin ribbon to attach over the top edge of the lace and 0.5cm down, from the top edge of the card, using D.S. tape.
I made the bow from the same ribbon and attached it, the material heart and the glitter heart with white glue.
I finished the sentiment sheet by adding the peel off and the embellishment with Love. The outcome of this project has resulted in a delightfully feminine looking Valentines’ day greeting card. Thank you, Deloris for supplying the inspiration, your fun card designs always have the cuteness appeal. Pamela Horton.
