Pink Roses on Pink VellumCompleted by Darlene Handorff
OccasionLovely feminine pink roses with light green leaves in a repeated vellum look. I used a regular bright white paper to print this pattern as it does look like vellum without using vellum paper. I used a light green card stock as the base and cut out the pink roses on pink vellum pattern to form the "letter look" flap and attached it to the card with double back tape. I used a decorative edge cutter along the bottom. Then I covered the back side with a strip of manilla card stock just to fit over the decorative cut out with a strong double back tape. This leaves the sticky tape under the decorative cut exposed. Next I sprinkled a fine bright pink glitter and rubbed it into the decorative cut out. This keeps the glitter very stable and gives a decorative bling to the edge.
THe summer hat sticker and tea cup were added last. This very feminine pattern that is sharp when printed will be used by me quite a bit. I was able to resize the pattern easily and I am glad that I have added this pretty pattern to my collection. It was very easy to work with and it shows if you have the right pattern the card will be easier to make!. This will be a card for a favorite Aunt's birthday.
