I printed the designer sheet onto Vellum which I heat embossed IMMEDIATELY after popping out of the printer with some glitter embossing powder. I cut out all the images. Got out 5 'Speckled Stone' card blanks 8"x 4" upon which which I stamped asstd variations of backgrounds using Gorgeous Grunge SU stamps and some floral swirls from my stash. I used Green, Rich Razzleberry, Sand and Lost Lagoon ink pads for the background, stamping off before stamping on my card to make the inks paler.
I then stamped the small greeting, in black ink, directly onto the cards. I did this on 3 of the card blanks. I then attached the butterflies and added clear gems to the bodies of the butterflies to finish.
My other cards were made using the last 2 of my 'Speckled Stone' card blanks. I made them much more vibrant and 'Grungy' to demonstrate how many styles of cards can be made using these same butterflies. I love the way they worked out, with the inking direct from ink pad to card base, the overstamping and use of various stencils and flower stamps. I used the same inks as the first three cards plus Cajun Craze ink pad and White Distress Paint. I added some cut out flowers to give depth and texture. I stamped the greetings in black ink on white card stock, cut them out and fitted them to the cards using foam pads. I then attached the clear gems to the butterflies and added some stickles to the flowers to finish. I've put another shot of two of the first set of cards as i think it show the glitter embossing quite well. This one was before I added the gems. Such a beautiful sheet so easy to do i'm sure you will love this one.
