I LOVE waterfall cards - so easy to make and the recipient has lots of fun playing with them.

I printed the design on matte photo paper, scored where marked then cut out my chosen pieces. Don't forget to score BEFORE cutting or you will have no idea where to put your folds.

The first fold is the most important as it seems counter-intuitive - you score in half with the RIGHT sides facing each other. This means that the patterned side will show as you pull and the squares are added to the wrong side. Now is when I add my cross bar - the patterned strip. Centre it over the 'wings of the base piece and stick down. Fold on the rest of the score lines and I use dst to add my chosen sheep (you will have 1 left over).

Now you need to decide on where you are going to place your waterfall on your card. I have chosen to place mine at the bottom of my card which means that I can now use a 1" circle punch to punch a semi circle where my pull tag is going to be.

If you wish to place your waterfall higher on the card you will need to add something to the pull tag to enable your recipient to use it - I normally add some embroidery floss but you can use a length of thin ribbon or whatever else you have at hand.

When all this is complete you place your waterfall on the card and use a pin or other piercing implement to go through the cross bar AND the base card on both edges. I then use brads to adhere my waterfall to the card. Pull the tag and you should now have a wonderful waterfall.

Add your greeting and your card is done. ENJOY!

The 2nd picture shows an option for using the extra vehicle - you can flat stick it to the end of your pull tag. If you do this make sure that you burnish the vehicle well so that it has no edges sticking up - these will get stuck when you try to return the waterfall to its start position. It is a lovely surprise for the recipient as the vehicle magically appears as they pull.
