Birthday Age Cards 71-80

Birthdays are a nuisance for us in the know,
We would rather count them backwards, to count forwards is a No Go.
As youngsters we liked being "nearly" eleven, even 12 and a half seemed closer to heaven.
But, when it's 75, or 76 or nearly 77,
It doesn't seem all that exciting,
Certainly not worth putting in writing.
Morning hellos and plenty of rest
Seems enjoyable enough at the best.
But, now, here we are, and so it appears.
It IS your day, and we won't mention years.
We know you are not into a lot of fuss,
We just wanted you to know,
