Birthday Grandparents

We do fun things together,
My wonderful grandpa and me,
He tells me magical stories,
Of how life used to be,
He shows me how to do things,
He takes me places I want to go,
I hope he knows I love him,
And on his birthday,
I'll tell him so,
So hurrah for a wonderful Grandpa,
I hope your birthday is special for you,
I'm looking forward to seeing your candles,
And eating a slice of birthday cake too!

Nana you are special,
You're unique,
You're one of a kind,
I think about you often,
When I do - Love - comes to mind,
You're thoughtful, kind and giving,
You so deserve the best,
You're a Nana in a million,
Head and shoulders about the rest,
So now it is your birthday,
Best wishes are send your way,
To a wonderful, generous Nana,
Who will be adored forever and a day.

Up in Grandpa's attic,
Are treasures to behold,
More precious are they than diamonds,
Silver or any gold,
They hold a wealth of memories,
Of times and years gone past,
They all will tell a story,
That will forever last,
But today it's time to celebrate,
A day that is brand new,
It's the day of Grandpa's birthday,
A day that's just for you!

In my Granddad's attic,
With stories all to tell,
Are treasures of the years gone by,
On which he likes to dwell,
Every item has the key,
To unlock memories of long ago,
Evoking thoughts and feelings,
That only he does know,
So I hope today dear Grandad,
Now your special day is here,
You know how much we love you,
Every day of every year.

Where would we be without granddad?
A wise man that is true,
He always gives encouragement,
He takes time to talk to you,
And as today's his birthday,
Best wishes are sent to say,

I have a special grandma,
Who I think the whole world of,
She really is an angel,
Sent down from up above,
And as today's your birthday,
I just want you to know,
How much you're loved and cared for,

It's my Grandpa's birthday,
It's time to have some cake,
It's time to throw a party,
It's time to celebrate,
For my Grandpa is a lovely man,
He was handsome once I'm told,
He says that in his heart he's young,
But outside he says he's old,
But I don't see the wrinkles,
Or the hair that's turning grey,
I just see his twinkling eyes,
And I love him more each day.

My grandma is a treasure,
She has so much knowledge you see,
She taught me how to knit and sew,
While I sat upon her knee,
She shows me how to bake a cake,
Tells me stories of when she was young,
She says that although she old now,
In years gone by she had so much fun,
Today it is her birthday,
And for someone who is so sweet
You deserve a special day Grandma,
So come on we're going out for a treat!

My nana is the very best,
Her house is an open door,
Everyone pops in for a cup of tea,
And a gossip about the neighbours next door!
But on her very special day,
I'm sending all my love,
She truly is an angel,
Sent from heaven above,
I hope you have a wonderful day,
With friends and family for tea,
For I bet there's nowhere else in all the world,
Where they would rather be.

My grandma is always there for me,
Through the good times and the bad,
She always has a cheery word,
Around her no one is sad,
She makes great cakes,
And cooks great meals,
Her door is open wide,
That's why I send this special card,
To my Grandma with love and pride.

My grandad tells great stories,
Of life in years gone by,
Of days when he was young,
And Grandma was his sweet bride,
A lot of water has gone under the bridge,
My grandad says to me,
He tells me tales of when I was small,
And sat upon his knee,
My grandad is very special to me,
And now his birthday is here,
I want to tell him here and now,
He is loved and so very dear.

I love to visit my Nanny
She is always kind to me
She buys me toys and sweeties
And lets me sit on her knee

She sometimes reads me stories
And will play a game with me
But most of all I love it
When we snuggle, just her and me

My Nan, you mean the world to me
Someone to talk to when I'm feeling down
