Any type of cycling is what you enjoy the most,
Some say you're very good at it - but you don't like to boast!
From mountain biking to BMX you don't really care,
All you want is the adrenaline rush and being out in the open air,
So as today's your birthday I doubt you'll be indoors for long,
For the road, the mountain track are calling for it's on two wheels where you belong!

Sports makes you feel connected, it helps you fulfill a dream,
You can do it going solo or enjoy being part of a team,
The exercise makes you stronger - you're a muscle making machine,
You'll start to feel the fittest that you have ever been,
But you can also be an athlete resting in your comfy chair,
Watching your favourite players in a stadium or the open air,
But however you indulge your passion, sport appeals to the young and old,
Whether it's footie in the local playground or in the stadium going for gold!

Any kind of sport will do, you don't really care,
It's the thrill of the tournament in which you like to share,
Will your favourite come out on top, will they remain top of the league,
Tactics, strategy, cunning, all add to the intense intrigue,
Who will win the gold medal?
Who was fastest round the course?
Which jockey gets over the fence, riding on the very best horse,
It's what you live and breathe for, what motivates you every day,
Because if you didn't have sport in your life we know you'd pine away!

You like to really push yourself so triathlons you like best,
I don’t think you know the meaning of, sitting down and having a rest,
You swim, you bike and finally run the best time you can get,
You’ll do all this in such great style hardly breaking out in a sweat!
But I hope that on your special day you’ll slow the pace down low,
By getting into the celebration mood when birthday wishes start to flow.

Cycling is your favourite sport you’ll watch it on TV,
But if you get a spare hour or two it’s on the road you’ll be,
Speeding up the country lanes in your latest gear,
Round the corners, up the hill soon to disappear,
It’s what you live for, what you dream of and what makes you who you are,
To anyone who knows you you’re a cycling superstar,
So on a special day like this hope you’re cycling with your mates,
Zooming down the open road, off to celebrate!

If you can’t get to a pavilion

is a dull and lifeless thing,

all players dressed in white
against a field of pure green
now what a beautiful sight,
The sound of leather on willow
there’s nothing to compete
along with the team that you
support being quicker on their feet,
All eyes are on the wickets
hoping they don’t fall
and if your eleven are the winners
then this will be the finest
birthday of them all!

A day of sport on telly
now wouldn’t that be grand
especially with can of beer
very close at hand,
So I hope that your birthday
you have plenty of games to view
for that would make your birthday

The great outdoors is calling so what are you waiting for,
get your boots and a picnic, it’s time to head out the door,
Will it be a deserted beach to hear the crashing waves,
Allowing the wind to blow through your hair and chase all those blues away,
Or maybe the quiet countryside is what will please you most,
Being at one with nature will be very calming she boasts,
So whatever walk you choose may your birthday be simply the best,
So that when it’s finally over you’ll feel well and truly blessed.

Rock climbing is your passion it’s your favourite thing to do,
So we hope that on your birthday you’ll find some time that’s just for you,
So get your rope and harness, your helmet, gloves and shoes,
Then call some friends together - now which rocks will you choose?!

A day you go out hiking is a perfect day for you,
So we hope that on your birthday it’s exactly what you’ll do,
So get your map, your boots and gear,
Go climb those hills - get outta here!

They say you need to exercise
so take up a sport you love,
Well that is very easy for you
you’ll start by walking to the pub,
There you’ll find your favourite
spot to really feel the burn,
Waiting for the pool table
eager to take your turn,
Next will be the dartboard
precision here is key,
Agility, balance and dexterity
all these show you have the ability
to easily reach 180 points
you need not have any fear,
Then you’ll be well hydrated
by drowning a few good beers.

White, yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black and red,
Your favourite colours that always stick in your head,
Twenty two balls so perfect, so round,
On a green table of perfection they can always be found,
Two players all eager with cues in their hand,
There’s no better game on this Earth - you understand,
For snooker’s your passion, your love and your game,
A day without snooker is a day full of shame,
A day full of balls will be your birthday treat,
Now to you that’s a celebration that’ll be very hard to beat!

Any winter sport or a game on ice for you,
Ice Hockey, curling or some downhill skiing will do,
The thrill of the bobsleigh track with death defying speeds,
Is enough to give you an adrenaline burst for that is what you need,
But as it is your birthday I hope today will also deliver,
A day that holds the best of things and really is a winner!

A day just by the river
hoping to catch some fish
is your idea of heaven -
a day of perfect bliss,
Just watching the river rushing
along with rod firmly in your hand,
What more could life be all about
in this green and pleasant land,
But before you pack your tackle,
your waders and your bait,
I’m sending you this birthday card

You’ve always loved the open
road and all the the freedom
it brings,
It’s heading off to meet the gang,
your fellow mates, your tribe,
and if you’re feeling low in mood
it’s what the doc would always prescribe,

Tennis is what you live for,
what gets you through the day,
It sustains you when you’re tired
as it’s such a joy to play,
It’s where you meet your friends,
where your troubles melt away,

Wimbledon is your favourite
but then the US Open is good too,
You don’t really mind what you
watch as long as the players
come in twos,
They each must be ready to fight,
as balls go flying over the net,
The umpire must be fair
in all things - whilst the
players get in a sweat,
It must be tense and thrilling,
keeping you on the edge of
your seat and when combined
with a birthday -
well then your world is
just complete!

You couldn’t get much happier
if on the racecourse you are found,
Having a little flutter or just
watching horses gallop round,
Studying who is in the race
and where to place your bet,
It really is a perfect day -
the best you ever get,
So as today’s your birthday

then maybe have a pint or two
with a celebratory dinner!

the running shoes are on,

blink, and he is gone,
The weather counts for nothing
as his feet get to the beat
of jogging in the pouring rain
