Lights sparkling on the tree
tinsel all around
smell of festive cooking
from the ceiling to the ground
turkeys in the oven
gifts under the tree
children getting excited
because they still believe

You have a Christmas birthday,
Double celebrations is your due,
I hope your day is special,
Where the focus is just on you,
For Christmas birthdays can get a little lost,
As festivities get in full swing,
So I hope this is a day to remember,
With all the happiness it brings!

Christmas is a joyful time,
For most - but not for all,
We're supposed to be happy and excited,
Waiting for Santa to call,
Yet for some it is a trying time,
Many memories tug at our hearts,
For in the year that's been passing,
Some love ones have had to depart,
But we'll soldier on with a brave face,
A smile given to all who call,
Christmas is a joyful time,
For most - but not for all.

I'll be thinking of you this Christmas,
As an empty seat there'll be,
I'll look at you and you'll look at me,
In our eyes the memories we'll see,
Yet we'll keep our counsel,
We'll guard our hearts,
As laughter rings the air,
There'll be an empty chair this Christmas,
And we'll wish he was sitting there.

As bells ring out for Christmas,
As families gather near,
We think of loved ones in our hearts,
That we hold very dear,
The twinkling lights upon the tree,
The presents bought with care,
It's the time we join together,
It's the time most families share,
But although we know you're miles away,
We'll still celebrate along with you,
Past festive times we'll think of,
While building new treasured memories too,
We'll hold you close within our hearts,
As the season comes and goes,
You're a family so often thought about,
As I hope this card will show.

When the tree is decorated,
The lights they sparkle and shine,
It's then we think of our loved ones,
Who so quickly come to mind,
We miss them every single day,
So at this special season we want to say;
Although we are so far apart,
You know you're always in our hearts,
On Christmas day we'll raise a glass,
To wish you lasting happiness,
We'll toast our families and those we hold dear,
Then wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This Christmas might be difficult,
But in this card is lots of cheer,
I'm hoping that the twelve months ahead,
Will be a better year,
May the peace and calm of this season,
Bring a special message to you,
That life goes on and friends are here,
To help and support you through.

Midst the glitter and the splendour,
The snow that's on the ground,
May our loved ones never be forgotten,
In our memories they'll always be found,
It's a time when we think back fondly,
Of years that have past and gone,
Yet the joy of this Christmas season,
Will forever continue on.

Christmas time has come again
And with it all the usual pain
The decorating of the Christmas tree
And all the presents wrapped by me
There's all the cooking to be done
Who said Christmas was such fun
Then you awake on Christmas morn
The kids have got you up at dawn
Then on their faces you see their smile
Oh yes, I guess it's all worthwhile

Sleigh bells heard in the distance,
Snowflakes float through the air,
Stockings hung on the fireplace,
Christmas day is near,
Children wait in anticipation,
Fighting the feeling of sleep,
Knowing that soon, the time will come,
For Santa to access his feast.
Left out on the table are cookies,
Milk and a carrot or two,
Ho, ho, ho, echos through the land,
Merry Christmas to you.

Over the seas and far away,
Our wishes are sent for Christmas day,
For although our families are miles apart,
Our love for you is in our hearts,
May you all have a wonderful Christmas,
May it all be merry and bright,
May it bring everything you wish for,
And the New Year turn out just right.

You are a precious granddaughter
so special in every way
Im sure santa will visit you
on this Christmas day
so hang up your stocking
and leave a cookie or two
and don't forget a carrot
because Rudolf is special too

You really are an awful sight
Why are you leaning to the right?
The tinsel that the cat has ragged
is better in the rubbish bag
But in the dark it's not so bad
The lights still work of that I'm glad
Next year I think I'll go with fake
And save myself all this heartache

Carols on the radio and every shop we go in
Happy faces on the kids and everyone you know
Ribbon wrapped around the gifts and on the Christmas tree
Icicles hanging off the leaves and branches of the trees
Smiling, happy families as time is spent together
Trees all decked out and filled with lights
Manic shoppers dashing round to get the gifts they need
Awake most of Christmas Eve putting together the bike
Santa, Snow and Sending Love with this card to you

May the joy that is Christmas,
All glowing and bright,
When the stars light the sky,
On a dark snowy night,
Bring you hope and much gladness,
While bringing warmth to your heart,
As the Carols ring out,
And the Christmas bells start.

This might be a difficult Christmas,
Maybe one you would like to forget,
But I want you to especially remember,
That if you are feeling upset,
Just pick up the phone or text me,
I'll be there to brighten and cheer,
And I promise you this my special friend,
Life will get better next year.

The Christmas story still is told
throughout the world today!

and Christmas joy abounds.
