Fish and chips go down well
Washed down with a glass of bitter
Clotted cream with scones and jam
English food doesn't get any better

For St. George who is the patron
And with the dragon did fight

St. George was a mighty hero
the dragon he did slay,
so we celebrate this famous man

Put our country on display,
Celebrate our bountiful heritage,

From Lakeland hills to chalky cliffs,
From castles to roaring seas,
This land is full of culture and brimming with history,
