News & Updates from Carol Lepard · Page 3
This past weekend I was at a Country Club doing a show that was part of their Winter Fest. What fun! There were fishing contests, snowmobiling, lots of yummy food and of course the Craft Show.
I am SO lucky! I have my very own Santa! My Santa loves to put on his suit and go listen to what the children want for Christmas this year.
He is just super good with the kids!
Always asks if they think they were good this year and asks if they have sent a letter out to him yet so he will be able to put what they want on his list.
I made him a new suit this year out of velvet and some wonderfully white fur with silver filiments that just make the suit so much better.
Today was our local Christmas in the Village and he was taken to the Library via horse drawn wagon where he presided near the fireplace and Christmas tree for several hours talking to all the kids that came in and giving them each a candy cane.....and yes, his beard is his own...but he has to use a store bought belly ;-P Please take a look at all my Christmas designs for your card lists this year and thank you to all the card makers for making such lovely cards with my designs.
Spooktacular fun was had by all at our local Farmers Market this year during the annual Chili & Soup cookoff. 23 businesses in town participated with 25 different chilis & soups.
For the price of one mug, participants went around town tasting and voting on their favorites.
Last year we came in second on the Chili. Voting is still being tabulated so I don't know how we came in this year but we had lots of repeat business so here is hoping!
We like to decorate for Halloween for the cookoff too, so here is a photo of our display this year as well as my booth. Check out my latest designs which can be placed right on wax candles (plain or in glass jars).
Thank you to everyone who has been buying my designs and a big appology to all who have wondered where I've been!
I've been SO busy baking, making cards and tatting so that I have produce (cards as well as the baking & tatting) to sell at my booth at the County Fair this week.
I have a booth for the entire week of the fair and open first thing in the morning and go until early evening (when all the attractions start and the vendors close down due to lack of custom) Busy, busy but very fun!
We had a great start to the fair today...just 4 more days to go!
Busy time for me just started! The new Season for the local Farmers Market started last weekend. I take all of the finished cards I have made up to sell there.
I also take all of the tatting I have done...if I'm not designing or making cards I'm tatting something...lol Can't wait until it is a bit warmer so I can tat while I'm at the market...hope to interest people in the idea of learning an art that is not done much anymore by younger people where I live.
To bring more people into my "booth" I also have lots of home baked goodies....yum! With Graduations coming up pretty soon, this Graduation card is my biggest seller so far.
