A Braided Bracelet with Metal Rivets

This bracelet is made with nylon cord braided around rivets with a "collar". The fastener is a magnetic clasp.

1

Assemble four pieces of cords in a knot and attach it to a clip board; two 65cm pieces of cord and two 40cm pieces of cord.

2

Braid two knots from either side using the long cords. Braid a third knot very loosely – as shown.

3

Place the rivet in the space between the braided section and the upcoming braided knot (the loosely made knot). Now tighten around the collar of the rivet and make two braided knots afterwards.

4

For each rivet added to the braiding, tighten all cords - even the two middle cords around which the braiding is made.

5

Use 15 rivets for a 21cm long bracelet. Then finish the bracelet by tying all four cord ends together in a tight knot.

6

Trim the ends approx. 1.5cm from the knot. NB: Make sure that the cord ends which are glued into the magnetic clasp cylinders fill the entire cylinder for maximum adhesion.
