An invitation made from a greeting card, decorated with a Vivi Gade Design paper dress and Color Bar card as well as self-adhesive rhinestones. The menu card and the place card are made from Color Bar card, decorated in the same style as the invitation.
Invitation: Print out the template, which is available as a separate PDF file for this idea. Cut it out and draw the outline of the large shape onto the front cover of the greeting card. Cut along the arched line and along the groove in the middle.
Cut a piece of design paper to fit on the inside of the greeting card. Cut it slightly smaller, than the actual size of the greeting card, trim and attach using double-sided adhesive tape.
Draw the outline of the small shape from the template onto a piece of Color Bar card – (choose the dark side). Cut it out and attach to the front cover of the greeting card using double-sided adhesive tape.
Use the template for drawing the dress onto a piece of design paper. Cut it out and attach it to the front cover of the greeting card using double-sided adhesive tape.
Cut a strip of design paper and attach it across the bottom of the front cover of the greeting card.
Decorate with self-adhesive rhinestones.
Write "Invitation" onto the white arch on the front of the greeting card with a pink Uni Posca marker. Print out the text for the invitation and attach it onto the inside of the greeting card using double-sided adhesive tape.
Menu card: Cut a piece of pink Color Bar card the same size and design as the invitation. Score down along the middle of the card using a bone folder.
Decorate the menu card in the same fashion as the invitation.
Place card: Cut a 8x6cm piece of pink Color Bar card. Attach a slightly smaller piece of design paper. Print out the name on white paper, trim & attach to the place card with tape. Decorate with rhinestones. Attach place card onto the glass with a mini clothes peg.
Table decoration: Cut out dresses from design paper and put them together in pairs with double-sided adhesive tape along the sides. Insert a small object (a wine cork, a rubber or a small Silk Clay ball) in the bottom dress opening, so that the dress can stand on its own.
