This necklace is made from a piece of silver chain. Resin, stone and glass beads have been attached to the silver chain. These have been put onto eye pins and assembled in sections.
Put two beads onto an eye pin. Cut off the excess eye pin at approx. 8mm from the bead using side cutters. Bend the end of the eye pin backwards.
Make a loop with round nose pliers. Put another eye pin and another bead onto this eye pin before closing the loop completely. NB: We have used silver eye pins as they are thinner and therefore suitable for beads with small holes. You can therefore take advantage of the cut-off pieces of silver eye pins by saving them for new pins for other purposes.
Put a flower-shaped resin bead onto the next eye pin. Shorten the eye pin in the same way as previously described and make a new loop. Insert another eye pin in this newly formed loop. Put a jade bead onto this eye pin.
Cut off the eye pin (with the jade bead) approx. 2cm from the bead, leaving the eye pin long enough for making a double loop with round nose pliers.
Insert two eye pins in the double loop and put a small bead on each of the two eye pins. Make a loop on each of the eye pins and continue this procedure with beads on eye pins until there are five sections in each side with a bead on an eye pin.
Attach a piece of silver chain in your desired length onto each of the last loops on the 2 x 5 connected sections. NB: The necklace must be long enough to fit over the head as no clasp will be fitted.
