A Christmas Tree using Oslo Design Paper

The Christmas tree is made by folding sheets of Vivi Gade Design Paper (the Oslo series) into triangles – a sheet at a time. Double-sided adhesive tape is used for assembling each triangle to make a tree.

1

Fold each sheet diagonally. You will need 16 sheets for the Christmas tree!

2

From the right, fold down towards the fold in the middle.

3

Fold the pointed triangle from the left to the right (over the just-folded point in paragraph 2) and insert the point inside this fold.

4

Attach double-sided adhesive tape along the edge – opposite the fold.

5

Place a new triangle on the double-sided adhesive tape, which is the "tree trunk".

6

Continue this process described above until all 16 triangles are assembled.

TIP!

Place the triangles on top of each other very accurately. Now remove the top layer of the double-sided self-adhesive tape. This is how you do it: Slightly lift the top triangle whilst at the same time removing the top layer of the double-sided adhesive tape little by little.

Another variant

Attach triangle No. 1 and No. 16 to each other at the end, thus making the tree appear round.
