A Needle Felted Hare with Felt Ears

Each hare is made from carded wool, needle felted onto a polystyrene ball and egg. The felt ears are felted on and the Foam Clay eyes are pushed onto the head.

Place the carded wool in wads onto the polystyrene ball and attach it securely by pushing the felting needle up and down.

Felt the feet and the tail from carded wool using a needle felting foam pad. You may print out and use the template available as a seperate pdf file for this idea.

Assemble the two needle felted parts (the head and body) using a shortened bamboo flower stick (6cm).

Felt the feet onto the bottom of the body, enabling the hare to stand on its own. Also felt the tail onto the body.

Cut the ears from felt using the template. Felt the ears onto the hare's head using the felting needle.

Roll two small Foam Clay balls for eyes. Push them onto the head and tie a ribbon around the neck.
