Cut out designs from black shrink plastic sheets are used as pendants on a neon-coloured macram cord. An adjustable knot is used as a fastener. Make bracelets and necklaces as you please!
Use a template for drawing a design onto a piece of shrink plastic foil sheet and cut it out.
Use revolving punch pliers and make two holes very close to each other; one in each side of the cut-out design. NB! Use the largest possible hole size on the revolving punch pliers.
Shrink the cut-out designs in a household oven at 160 C for approx. 1 minute. The shrink plastic design will twist completely in the warm oven and will shrink to approx. one third. Open the oven door ajar, and leave the designs in the oven until they unfold again after roughly another minute.
Attach the finished and cooled design as a pendant onto the neon-coloured macram cord and make two adjustable knots.
Arrange the two long ends parallel and tie an adjustable knot in each side . Make a loop with one end of the cord and twist this end around itself and the other cord three to five times.
Push the end of this cord through the loops – and also through the first loop.
Pull the end of the cord and the loops will lie flat and tight around the two cords.
Cut the end of the cord off close to the knot. Glue it onto the loops. Take care not to glue it onto the cord on which it is intended to slide.
You may replace the neon-coloured macram cord with a bead chain.
