This necklace is made from a piece of plaited cord, decorated with a fish pendant, inspired by a fish lure. The fish pendant is made from neon beads and silver fish beads decorated with a tassel made from neon-coloured macram cord.
Thread the neon beads and the large fish (i.e. the fish parts that make up the large fish) onto the macram cord. Use a pin or a piece of wire on the cord making it easy to thread the beads onto the macram cord.
Make two or three bead pendants using the same procedure as the one described in paragraph 1.
Put the small silver bead fish and one or two neon beads onto a ball head pin and twist the end to form a loop. See the next paragraphs for instructions.
Bend the wire 90 degrees to one side over the round nose pliers.
Then bend it to the opposite side around the round nose pliers.
Twist the end of the wire around the stem.
Continue twisting the wire all the way down to the bead.
Nip off the end with wire cutters as close to the bead as possible.
Using crimping pliers squeeze in the end of the wire completely.
Make a tassel and attach a round jump ring.
Assemble all the pendant parts in a lobster claw clasp.
Cut a piece of plaited cord to the desired length. Attach sellotape to both ends to secure them prior to gluing each end into an end cap using Super Attak instant glue. Attach a swivel clasp to the end cap as a fastener.
