A Decorated Coat Rack
The wood is painted with diluted Plus Color Craft Paint. It is varnished with matt acrylic lacquer.
You can achieve a transparent paint which varies in strength and covering power by adding water to the paint.

Paint the coat rack with very diluted Plus Color.

You may sand the coat rack first to achieve a worn or distressed look.

Finally varnish the wood with matt acrylic lacquer.
