Chicks made from Bonsai Wire and Gauze Bandage

This chick is shaped from bonsai wire and covered with gauze bandage. Then it is painted with a shiny A-Color Glass paint and decorated with dots made using a foam stencil brush. The eyes are added using glass and porcelain markers.

Bend a piece of bonsai wire into a U-shape. Bend the ends to make feet, enabling the chick to stand unaided.

Cut several approx. 15cm long pieces of gauze bandage. Dip these in water and wrap them around the bonsai wire body. Form a beak from the gauze bandage. Press and smooth it onto the body.

Cut one piece of gauze bandage for the wings. Attach it onto the chick's back and let it dry.

Paint the chick with A-Color Glass paint.

Make dots with a foam stencil brush. Add eyes with a white and a black glass and porcelain marker.
