The New Year's table decoration consists of silver-painted, glitter sprinkled, free-standing papier-m ch numbers and matching place cards, punched out from silver metallic foil card in a star shape. A napkin ring is shaped from silver pipe cleaners.
Paint the papier-m ch numbers with silver Plus Color craft paint and let them dry slightly before applying another coat on the sides and the back. Let them dry completely.
Now apply another coat of paint on the front of each number and immediately sprinkle silver glitter onto the wet paint. NB: paint and decorate only small areas at a time and use a piece of paper as an underlay for collecting the excess glitter.
Either punch or cut a star from silver metallic foil card to use as a place card.
Write the name on the star using a black Uni Posca marker.
Shape a number eight from a silver pipe cleaner. Make the joint where the cross of the number eight is. NB: make one loop smaller than the other. The smaller loop will be the napkin holder for the rolled up napkin.
Shape a five point star from the larger loop of the number eight shape.
