Making Sweets
Mmm ... Making hard-boiled sweets is a great activity for school clubs or at home in the kitchen.
Small children can help cutting the hard-boiled sweets – or perhaps decorate lovely sweet jars. The older children can participate with adults in the whole process.
1
Put water, sugar and grape sugar in a pan and boil to 162 degrees.
2
Pour the mixture onto the teflon sheet.
3
Add colour and flavour and knead the mixture using a plastic scraper.
4
Pull the mixture into strips and cut with a pair of scissors. Additional guidance is included in the sweet starter kits.
