A coloured Duck Egg with a Pattern and a Paper String Waistband

Decorate a duck egg with a pattern made with a natural leaf, pressed against the egg when put inside a nylon stocking. Paint with Art Aqua watercolour paint mixed with A-color Allround medium glue lacquer. Tie a piece of paper string around the egg.

Place a lightly pressed leaf onto the egg. Put the egg inside a nylon stocking and tie a tight knot. You may also tie a piece of string or rubber band around the egg to which will add a batik effect to the egg. NB: you may use the coarse ribbed edge of the stocking for making a pattern.

Mix A-color allround medium glue lacquer and Art Aqua watercolour paint in the ratio 1 to 1.

Apply the mixture onto the wrapped egg. Use a piece of kitchen roll for dabbing off the excess paint. NB: you may dab on another different colour as well. Let the egg dry.

Remove the egg and the leaf by cutting open the nylon stocking.

Tie a paper string waistband around the egg's circumference, finishing with a bow.
