Cutting Files Buyers Guide
Are you not sure which files to buy for your cutting machine/software?
More important than what machine you have, is what cutting software you are using - as many software programs work with more than one machine, and the software determines what file format can be used.

NOTES
- Always try to get files in the proprietary format for the software you use; for instance, a file saved as SVG in MTC will open in a different size and sometimes with a double cut line when opened in Silhouette Studio - different software interprets files differently.
- BROTHER ScanNCUT: Sure Cuts A Lot vs 4 exports as .fcm & works much better interpreting the svg file than Canvas
- Cricut owners SCAL: DO NOT update, after version 2 you lose ability to cut to cricutMTC - only early versions work.
- Fairycut - you can update your machine as the software still works.
- Sizzix Eclips uses eCAL which is a version of SCAL, and imports the same file types.
