Violin CardCompleted by Jean Pennington

This is a lovely design, and I wanted it to reflect on the backing sheet. I made the front violin section 5 inches wide, and then changed the right hand cutting line to perforate. I added a cutting line ¼ inch to the right of that. ¼ of an inch to the left of the centre fold line I added another perforate line. I made the rear section of the card 5 inches wide. All of the fold lines on the main card are mountain folds.
The backing sheet is 5 ½ inches wide, and I put perforated lines ¼ inch inside the length of each cutting line to make valley folds.
The main card is cut from 180 gsm coloured card, and I used 280 gsm silver mirri board for the backing sheet. They were cut using a Silhouette Cameo. After using a punch to cut the sentiment, I added a ribbon to the main card and added silver peel off embellishments. I used sticky pads to raise the front of the card above the backing sheet, and support the violin neck, before attaching the backing sheet to the main card in a box shape.
The card fits into a C5 envelope.
