I used an 8x8 inch scalloped edge card and I scored the front of the card 2ins from the left hinge, valley folded it and opened the card to apply double sided tape to the inside of the folded section. This formed a "book" hinge which I decorated with dark blue silk paper, white ribbon edged with gold and two roses made from the same ribbon.

I cut the window from 80gsm card and covered it with dark blue silk paper and added gold peel off corners.

For the scene behind the window I used the centre panel of cup35797_415 (Vintage Traditional Christmas Tree Gate Fold), designer Nick Bowley. I added lace to the sides and top of the Christmas tree as curtains then attached it to the back of the window with double sided tape.

A Christmas verse was printed onto another piece of card and this was attached to the inside left of the finished card with a Happy Christmas greeting on the inside right of the card.

This template has endless potential for all kinds of cards. I love it!
