3d Eclipse Card - Happy Birthday Completed by Cindie Deasey
OccasionImages selected are from PixelScrapper. Good Times is from the June Good Life Journal Card bundle by Jessica Dunn and the Banner is from the School Fun Bundle by Sheila Reed. I used my Silhouette Design Studio and changed the gray background on "HAPPY" to the selected image. Note that the "HAPPY" letters do not have the image on them. In order to have the image on them, I released the compound path. I colored the "birthday" word using the color picker to find a color that would look best with my image. I then did a print and cut with my image. I cut the base card and the color layer provided in the file. I neglected to run my "HAPPY birthday" image through an embossing folder (on both cards), but will try that next time.
To assemble, attach the color layer to the base. Then attach the "HAPPY birthday" layer without the "HAPPY" letters. Pick the insides of the A, P & P and put a small spot of liquid glue on the color layer (not fast drying) where you expect they will be. Using dimensional foam tape attach the H A P P Y. Using a pin or other sharp object, slide the insides of the A and P's into place.
