CHRISTMAS CANDY CANES OVER THE TOPCompleted by Jean-Marie Penny

I cut this from 160gsm white card. I made 2 templates by drawing around the front of the card to make a backing mat in gold for the 'stars' and 1 in red for the candy canes.

I stuck the gold piece using a dottie tape pen and the red one using a wet glue with a fine tip. (Please see additional photo).

I then coloured the pieces of holly in green and paper pieced onto the card using a wet glue. I also paper pieced every alternate white part of the candy canes using a wet glue. I then added a peel-off sentiment.
