Poinsettia Easel , All formatsCompleted by Louisa Price
OccasionOpulent yet easy. I chose the fcm file, and decided that I wanted to go Ivory and gold, a softer tone than white. There are quite a few files involved (all Labelled), and you will have to use a bit of caution if you want to mix colours. I cut onto 250gsm ivory hammered card, and 300gsm gold mirri, and cut on my SDX.
You do need to be a touch careful when assembling the card, as the layers will only work in a specific way, and you will need to twist it around until it matches. I used a 3mm foam tape to give me the dimension.
Do Take the time to shape the ferns and flowers, its worth it and creates an organic flow to the foliage, use a medium heavy foam (mouse mat upside down) and an embossing tool to get some shape and movement.
As I used mirri, I did use a hot glue gun to fix the flower layers, and added some stamens from my stash for the centre of the flowers, in gold and ivory.
This is an impact card, beautiful and once cut very quick to assemble.
