Scalloped Card Layers 7 & 8

I decided to go with a small pallet of colours for this card and so went with two shades of yellow cardstock, one a pale yellow and one more of an egg yolk yellow, and a black card.
The base card was cut out of the deeper yellow cardstock and I used the paper yellow for the top and third layers. I used the black for the 2nd layer. In keeping with my colour theme I used a narrow black ribbon to thread around the slots, tieing it in a bow where the ends meat at an angle. I also kept to black for the minimal embelishment, using three sizes of sticky back gemstones, from a large one in the centre, very small ones at the tip of the central "flower", and medium sized ones dotted in a circle around the pattern. I've put the greeting inside this card so as not to put it over the intricate pattern, which is stunning.
The beauty of using cutting files for card making is that the colour scheme is totally up to you, so you can make an intricate card up in the favourite colours of the recipient. You can also decorate the card up however you want.
