Daisy Ring TopperCompleted by Gwyneth George
I cut the design out twice using my Cameo. Once out of irridescent white card and once out of irridescent white vellum. They both looked good but I decided to play around with the design and I took a pair of scissors and snipped off the inner and outer ring of daisys, leaving me with just the middle ring which I attached to the middle layer of the cardstock daisy ring topper with a small blog of glue gel every other flower. I lifted up the loose petals to give some dimension to the middle ring. The embelished ring was then attached to a circle of die-cut gold mirror card that I had in my crafty stash. This matted topper was then attached to a square card I'd made from red satin cardstock. I then decorated the card with a butterfly cut out using cup294216_1577 and a flower I'd cut out using cup198314_1033. I finished off by attaching some sticky back gems to the butterfly body and antenae, and the flower centre.
I was thinking that this would also look nice with sticky back gems put in the centre of each of the daisies, to make the ring itself more of a statement piece, perhaps with just the letters MAM in the centre, or a Happy Birthday, Get Well, or Happy Mother's Day peeloff.
