I've cut the sheet out of lots of different coloured papers using my CraftROBO, but for the decoration on this box I chose an assortment of layers coloured red and purple to go with the gift that's to be sent inside. As ia different look to the example images above I decided to curl up the "petals" to give the flowers a more dimensional look. I did this by dragging each one between the nails of my thumb and middle fingers. For some layers I curled them upwards and some downwards to give texture and dimension to the Pom Pom Flowers. I used some glue gel to stick the layers together, and also to stick the finished flowers to the box lid together with a ribbon bow.
Having cut out more than just these layers in one session I've now got a box of them to pick out and put together and use as and when I need a quick embelishment on something, whether I use them flat or dimensional, as I haven't curled the rest yet.
